Having lived in Tel-Aviv, London, and Manhattan, Israeli-American artist Gat Gabriel realized that the Catskills were the missing link and inspiration in her life and art. Which is why she followed her passion for nature and decided to make a new life for herself and her family in Woodstock, NY, where she co-parents her two daughters surrounded by the Catskills Forest preserve.

 

A native of Haifa, Israel, Gat studied Visual Communication, first in her hometown and then in Tel-Aviv, where she met her life partner. There, she immersed herself in the local art and fashion scene, drawing inspiration for her own successful career as a graphic designer, life-style art director, journalist, painter, and illustrator. Her work has been published in magazines, newspapers, and has graced many visible trade book cover.

 

Motherhood changed her perspective on life in a country under the constant threat of terrorism. This impelled Gabriel family to relocate from Tel-Aviv to New York City when offered the professional opportunity. The Gabriels remained there for twelve years, during which Gat explored new artistic directions at New York’s School of Visual Arts.

Gat has also been a lifelong student of consciousness and spirituality. During her career as an artist, graphic designer, and journalist, she has experienced life from many viewpoints. That experience, and her years of passionate spiritual exploration and practice as a Reiki Master and Theta Healer, have deepened her awareness of the channels that express consciousness, harmony, and healing. 

 

Combining her passions and expertise as both an artist and a healer, she has found that art is a particularly conducive magnetic channel through which healing vibrations, change, love, and spirituality can be brought together.
